CRL.M.C. 9702/2024 1.

This is a petition seeking quashing of FIR No. 0040/2022 filed under Sections 498A/406/34 IPC registered at PS Begum Pur and all subsequent proceedings emanating therefrom.

2.

The parties state that they have arrived at a settlement dated 03.02.2024, wherein the petitioner was to pay Rs. 2 lakhs to respondent No. 2 towards full and final settlement of all claims including permanent alimony and maintenance.

3.

I am informed that the entire amount has been paid. 4.

Petitioner is present in Court and is identified by Mr. Yogesh Rana, The authenticity of the order can be re-verified from Delhi High Court Order Portal by scanning the QR code shown above. The Order is downloaded from the DHC Server on 02/07/2025 at 09:35:03

Adv. Respondent No. 2 is also present in Court and is identified by Ms. Sakshi Mishra, Adv. and SI Pushpender, PS Begum Pur. 5.

Parties state that they have arrived at the settlement out of their own free will and without any threat, pressure, coercion or undue influence. 6.

I am convinced that quashing of such proceedings on account of compromise would bring about peace and would secure ends of justice. The Court does not see any fruitful purpose if criminal proceedings are permitted to continue any further. It is a fit case for quashing. 7.

There is no child borne out of the wedlock.

8.

In this view of the matter, FIR No. 0040/2022 filed under Sections 498A/406/34 IPC registered at PS Begum Pur and all subsequent proceedings emanating therefrom are hereby quashed. 9.

The petition is accordingly disposed of.
