By way of these three petitions, the petitioner seeks quashing of three FIRs, i.e. FIR bearing no. 318/2024, dated 30.06.2024, registered at Police Station GTB Enclave, Delhi, for the commission of offence punishable under Section 174 of the Indian Penal Code, 1860 (hereafter 'IPC'), FIR bearing no. 327/2024, dated 30.06.2024, registered at Police Station GTB Enclave, Delhi, for the commission of offence punishable under Section 174A of the IPC and FIR bearing no. 319/2024, dated 30.06.2024, registered at Police Station GTB Enclave, Delhi, for the commission of offence punishable under Section 174 of the IPC.

The petitioner and respondent no. 2 (through video conferencing) in the aforementioned FIRs are present before this Court and have been identified by their counsels and concerned Investigating Officer (IO) from Police Station GTB Enclave, Delhi.

Briefly stated, facts of the present case are that the petitioner was declared as Proclaimed offender on 03.01.2024 due to his non-appearance in a complaint case filed by the complainant under Section 138 of the The authenticity of the order can be re-verified from Delhi High Court Order Portal by scanning the QR code shown above.
Negotiable Instrument Act, 1881 (hereafter 'NI Act') and subsequently the FIRs in question were registered against him on 30.06.2024. However, it is stated that both the parties have amicably settled the present matter between them.

On a query made by this Court, respondent no.2/complainant in these FIRs, who has been identified by the concerned IO, has categorically stated that she has entered into compromise out of her own free will and without any pressure, coercion or threat. It is also stated by her that the entire dispute has been amicably settled between the parties, as she has received the entire compromise amount and she has no objection if these FIRs are quashed. 7.
In view of the above fact that the parties have amicably resolved their differences out of their own free will, without any coercion, no useful purpose will be served by continuing the proceedings, rather the same would create further acrimony between them. It would thus be in interest of justice to quash the abovementioned FIRs and the proceedings pursuant thereto. There is no legal impediment in quashing the FIRs in question. 8.
Accordingly, FIR bearing no. 318/2024, dated 30.06.2024, registered at Police Station GTB Enclave, Delhi, for the commission of offence punishable under Section 174 of the IPC, FIR bearing no. 327/2024, dated 30.06.2024, registered at Police Station GTB Enclave, Delhi, for the commission of offence punishable under Section 174A of the IPC and FIR bearing no. 319/2024, dated 30.06.2024, registered at Police Station GTB Enclave, Delhi, for the commission of offence punishable under Section 174 of the IPC and all consequential proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed.
