% 12.12.2024 1.

The petitioner, who has filed the present Public Interest Litigation (hereafter PIL), appears in person. He seeks that directions may be issued to the National Commission for Women, to invoke its powers under Section 10

(1) of The National Commission for Women Act, 1990, to inquire into the fundamental and human rights violations in the Indian Film Industry. The petition is premised on the report furnished by Justice (Retd.) K. Hema Committee dated 31.12.2019. A plain reading of the petition indicates that the petitioner seeks that a similar inquiry in respect of the Indian Film Industry be also conducted. In addition, the petitioner prays that the report of Justice (Retd.) K. Hema Committee be produced in its un-redacted form for ensuring transparency and comprehensive justice. 2.

We are not inclined to entertain this petition, since the present petition does not set out any specific complaint of any particular person who alleges The authenticity of the order can be re-verified from Delhi High Court Order Portal by scanning the QR code shown above. sexual harassment for which no remedy is available. The entire petition is based on surmises without any empirical data. 3.

In so far as Justice (Retd.) K. Hema Committee's Report is concerned, this Court is informed that the complaints based on the said report have already been filed and action thereon has been instituted. In the given circumstances, we do not consider it apposite to accede to the prayer for issuing any directions for the un-redacted report to be placed in public domain.

The petition is, accordingly, closed.
