This petition has been filed by the petitioner praying for the following relief:

"(i) Issue a writ of mandamus to the Respondents to fix the basic pay of the petitioner at Rs. 7,510 instead of Rs. 6,750 and grant the Petitioner the basic pay equivalent to the other similarly placed Sub-Inspector under Respondent Nos. 1 and 2 and direct the The authenticity of the order can be re-verified from Delhi High Court Order Portal by scanning the QR code shown above. Notice is accepted by Mr. Srivats Kaushal, the learned counsel for the respondents.

Considering the nature of the relief claimed and the contents of the present petition, we are of the opinion that the present petition should be treated as a representation of the petitioner by the respondents. A speaking order thereon shall be passed by the respondents within a period of twelve weeks from today. 6.

In case, the petitioner is found eligible for the relief claimed, the consequential relief should be given to the petitioner within the abovementioned period. In case, the order passed by the respondents is adverse to the interest of the petitioner, it shall be open to the petitioner to challenge the same in accordance with law. 7.

We make it clear that we have not expressed any opinion on the merits of the present petition.

The petition is, accordingly, disposed of.
