This is a petition filed under section 528 of BNSS seeking quashing of FIR No. 0534/2022, dated 24.07.2022, registered at P.S. Bindapur, Delhi under Section 509 IPC, 1860 and all consequential proceedings emanating therefrom, if any.

Briefly stating the facts are that the FIR was registered on the complaint of respondent no.2/complainant whereby it is alleged that the father-in-law and bother-in-law have made obscene gestures to respondent no.2.

of some misunderstanding between the parties and the same have been settled by way of a Memorandum of Understanding dated 21.10.2024. 4.

Petitioners i.e. Mr. Rattan Lal (petitioner no.1) and Mr. Rahul Kumar (petitioner no.2) are present through VC and are identified by their counsel, namely, Ms. Yamini Sharma, Adv.

Respondent No. 2 i.e. Mrs. Geeta Verma is also present through VC and is identified by SI Kishan Chand, P.S. Bindapur. 6.

Both the parties state that they have entered into the aforesaid settlement out of their own free will, volition and without any threat, force, undue influence or coercion. In addition, respondent no.2 states that she has no objection to the quashing of the aforesaid FIR. 7.

Since the parties have arrived at a settlement and no disputes are pending, I am convinced that quashing of such proceedings on account of compromise would bring about peace and would secure the ends of justice. This court does not see any fruitful purpose if criminal proceedings are permitted to be prosecuted any further. It is a fit case for quashing. In this view of the matter, there is no reason to continue the proceedings. 8.

For the reasons noted above, FIR No. 0534/2022, dated 24.07.2022, registered at P.S. Bindapur, Delhi under Section 509 IPC, 1860 and all consequential proceedings emanating therefrom, if any are hereby quashed. 9.

The petition is disposed of accordingly.
