The matter has been received on transfer.

This is a petition under Section 482 of CrPC seeking quashing of FIR No. 383/2022, under Section 354D of IPC, registered at P.S.: Bhajanpura, and proceedings emanating therefrom.

As per the allegation in F.I.R, the petitioner was troubling the complainant by following her on his motorcycle. 4.

During the pendency of the proceedings, the parties have arrived at a settlement dated 10.10.2024, wherein the respondent No. 2 has settled her disputes and agreed to cooperate in quashing of the FIR. 5.

The petitioner is present in Court and is identified by Mr. Jagdeep Sharma, learned counsel. Respondent No. 2 is also present in Court and is identified by the Investigating Officer, SI Sanjay, P.S.: Bhajanpura. Both parties state that they have entered into the aforesaid settlement out of their own free will, volition and without any threat, force, undue influence or coercion.

It is stated by respondent No. 2 that she has no objection if the FIR is quashed.

Since the parties have arrived at a settlement and no disputes are pending, I am convinced that quashing of such proceedings on account of compromise would bring about peace and would secure ends of justice. The Court does not see any fruitful purpose if criminal proceedings are permitted to be prosecuted any further. It is a fit case for quashing. 9.

In this view of the matter, the FIR No. 383/2022, under Section 354D of IPC, registered at Police Station Bhajanpura and proceedings pursuant thereto are hereby quashed.

The petition is disposed of along with pending applications, if any.
