% 25.05.2016 The only ground on which the impugned order was made - which dismissed the appellant's writ petitions, was that it did not comply with the previous directions to deposit litigation expenses of `15,000/- each.

This Court, as a condition for issuing notice required the appellant to deposit `20,000/- in each case. That direction has been complied with. In these circumstances, we are of the opinion that the appellant's writ petitions should be heard and disposed of on the merits. The Registry is directed to release the sum of `20,000/- in each of these appeals to the respondents/workmen. Having regard to the overall interest of justice, the impugned order is consequently set aside. The writ petitions shall be heard on their merits. All rights and contentions of parties are reserved. The parties are directed to be present before the concerned learned Single Judge, according to roster, on 16.08.2016. The appeals are partly allowed in the above terms. S.
