O.M.P.(MISC.)(COMM.) 40/2018 2.
This is a petition filed by the petitioner under Section 29A of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 (hereafter 'the Act'). It is stated that twelve months for making the award shall expire on 21.04.2018. Given the nature of the disputes, the learned counsel for the parties state that the time for making the award is required to be extended for a further period of twelve months from that date.
It is stated that, with the consent of the parties, the Arbitral Tribunal has already extended the time for making the award till 22.10.2018. The learned counsel for the parties state that there has been no delay in the proceedings and requests that the present application be allowed and the time for making the award be extended by a
further period of six months from 22.10.2018. 3.
In view of the above submission, the time for making the arbitral award is extended for a further period of six months from 22.10.2018; that is up to 21.04.2019.

The petition is disposed of.
