% 29.05.2018 Status report is tendered in Court and taken on record. From the status report, it appears that several measures have been undertaken by the police to locate the missing person i.e. the husband of the petitioner, namely, Surender, aged 74 years, son of late Hansraj. The Face Recognition Software has also been employed. Since there is no suspect in the case, no FIR has been registered.

It appears that the husband of the petitioner earlier as well left the home and used to visit Gurudwaras. Efforts have been made to search him in Gurudwaras including Ludhiana.

In these circumstances, we do not consider it useful to keep the present petition pending. However, the police shall keep the petitioner informed of the further progress made in the investigation. If any clue is provided by the petitioner, it shall be looked at with all seriousness. The investigation shall be undertaken by the A.H.T.U., Central District forthwith, under the supervision of the ACP concerned. Monthly report be provided to the petitioner at her residence in respect of the progress made in the case.

The petition stands disposed off in the above terms. VIPIN SANGHI, J P.S.TEJI, J MAY 29, 2018 PB
