The learned counsel appearing for respondent nos. 4 and 5 states that the controversy involved in the present petition has been rendered academic, since respondent nos. 4 and 5 has sought to withdraw their licenses, under the provisions of Bureau of Indian Standards (Conformity Assessment) Regulations, 2018 and pursuant to their request, Bureau of Indian Standards has, by the letters dated 03.01.2019, informed the respondents that their respective licenses have been cancelled. Copies of the said letters are also handed over to the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner. 2.

In view of the above, the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner seeks to withdraw the present petition with liberty to file afresh, if the cause so arises.

The petition and the application are dismissed as withdrawn with the aforesaid liberty.

4.

It is clarified that the question of law, sought to be agitated by the petitioner, is left open.
