Learned counsel appearing for the respondent states that a Show Cause Notice under to Section 124 of the Customs Act, 1962 shall be issued to the petitioner within a period of ten days from today. 2.

The petitioner to submit reply to the same within a period of two weeks after receipt of the Show Cause Notice. 3.

We direct the respondent to conclude the proceedings in any case within a period of six weeks from today.

In case if the proceedings are not concluded by passing and communicating appropriate order to the petitioner within six weeks, the petitioner shall be entitled for the provisional release of the gold.
