% 08.08.2016 Respondent Nos.5 and 6 are parents of petitioner No.1, who has married the petitioner No.2 of her own free will and without the consent of respondent Nos.5 and 6.
The petitioners have approached this Court, seeking police protection. It is alleged that the petitioners apprehend danger to their lives from the respondent Nos.5 and 6 and are receiving threats. Vide order dated 18th March, 2016, Show Cause Notice was issued to respondent Nos.5 and 6, returnable for 18th May, 2016. Respondent Nos.5 and 6 have remained unserved for the said date. As per the Process Server's reports respondent No.5 has shifted from the address and respondent No.6 was not found residing at the address given in the petition. Vide order dated 18th May, 2016, fresh notice was ordered to be
issued to respondent Nos.5 and 6, on filing of fresh address. Notice could not be issued as steps have not been taken.
During the course of hearing, it has been admitted by the petitioner No.1 that during the pendency of the present writ petition she met respondent nos.5 and 6 and further that they did not threaten her. In the Status Report, dated 6th August, 2016, it is stated by the Station House Officer ('SHO'), Police Station ('P.S.'): Fatehpur Beri, New Delhi that there is no threat to the petitioners within the area of P.S. Fatehpur Beri, New Delhi, as no complaint has been received from the petitioners in this regard.
Vide order dated 18th March, 2016, respondent No.1 was directed to provide necessary protection to the petitioners through SHO concerned, after assessing the element of threat, if any. It was further ordered that mobile numbers of the concerned SHO/Beat Constable be provided to the petitioners to enable them to contact them, if necessity arises. The learned Additional Standing Counsel submits that mobile numbers of the SHO/Beat Constable have been provided to petitioner No.1. Petitioner No.1 has admitted that mobile numbers of SHO/Beat Constable have already been given to her.
Accordingly, the present writ petition is disposed of by confirming the order dated 18th March, 2016.
