A Petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India read with Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 has been filed on behalf of the Petitioner for premature release on the sentence already undergone and to set aside the Order of Rejection dated 23.02.2024 and to direct the premature release of the Petitioner in terms of Policy dated 16.07.2004. 2.
Learned ASC on behalf of the Respondent states that his case was reconsidered in the SRB meeting held on 24.04.2025 and has been rejected vide Minutes dated 24.04.2025 and, therefore, this Petition has become infructuous. The Petition is disposed of with liberty to the Petitioner to challenge the latest SRB Minutes in accordance with law. 3.
The Petition stands disposed of accordingly.
