By way of this writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India read with Section 482 Cr.P.C., petitioner is seeking parole for a period of one month on medical grounds.

Status report has been filed by the State. It is submitted by learned ASC for the State that though the documents are genuine and the writ petitioner has already undergone substantial part of the sentence, she is likely to be released from jail shortly.

The nominal roll placed on record shows that as on 29.03.2016 the unexpired portion of sentence of the petitioner is one month and twenty two days. Thereafter till date three weeks have further passed. The petitioner wants to undergo knee replacement surgery.

In the given facts and circumstances, it is desirable that the petitioner goes for surgery after her release from jail which is going to expire soon. 5.

Writ petition is dismissed.
