By way of this petition, the petitioner seeks issuance of a writ in the nature of mandamus directing the respondent to release the petitioner on Emergency Parole for a period of 60 (sixty) days in case arising out of FIR bearing no. 169/2011, registered at Police Station Aman Vihar, Delhi for the commission of offence punishable under Section 302 of the Indian Penal Code, 1860 (hereafter 'IPC') and Section 25 (1B)(A)(1) of Arms Act, 1959. 2.

Issue notice. The learned ASC accepts notice on behalf of the State. 3.

Admittedly, the father of the petitioner has unfortunately passed away on 08.11.2025. It is also not in dispute that the petitioner has not approached the concerned Jail Authorities seeking grant of emergency parole, which can be granted in terms of Rule 1210(V) of the Delhi Prison Rules, 2018. In these circumstances, it is directed that the present petition be treated as a representation/application for grant of emergency parole, on the ground of the demise of the father of the petitioner herein, which will be decided within one week from date by the concerned authorities, under intimation to the petitioner herein.

In view of the above terms, the present petition stands disposed of. 6.

Copy of this order be given dasti, under the signature of Court Master. 7.

The Registry is directed to send the order to the concerned jail authority, today itself.
