% 21.03.2016 Present writ petition has been filed seeking a direction to respondent to dispose of petitioner's application dated 03rd February, 2016 regarding release of seized memory cards on provisional basis under Section 110A of the Customs Act, 1962.

Learned counsel for petitioner states that the seized goods are electronic items i.e. memory cards, which are prone to damage and deterioration. He further states that the seized goods would lose their value over the time if not released by the respondents. Since the petitioner's application for provisional release is still pending, this Court disposes of the present petition with a direction to the respondent to decide the petitioner's application under Section 110A of the Customs Act, 1962 within a period of four weeks. With the aforesaid directions, the present writ petition and the applications are disposed of.
