This is a petition under Section 226 of the Constitution of India read with Section 482 Cr.P.C. for quashing of FIR No.119/2017 under Section 498A/406 IPC registered at PS Najaf Garh (Old). It is stated that the matter has been settled amicably and the petitioner No.1 and Respondent No.2 are living together happily in the matrimonial home. 2.

Respondent No.2/ Complainant is present before the Court and is identified by the Investigating Officer. I have enquired from her whether the matter has been settled with the petitioners amicably without fear and pressure. She has stated that the matter has been W.P.(CRL) 911/2018

settled without any fear or pressure and she is living in the matrimonial home for the last about three months. 3.

The petition is supported by the affidavit of the parties. 4.

Since the matter has been settled between the parties and the complainant is residing with petitioner No.1 in the matrimonial home, no useful purpose will be served to continue with the proceedings under Sections 498A/406 IPC. In the interest of justice and to enable the parties to maintain their matrimonial relations, FIR No.119/2017 under Section 498A/406 IPC registered at PS Najaf Garh (Old) and all the proceedings arising therefrom are quashed. 5.

The petition is disposed of accordingly.
