This appeal is disposed of with the consent order that respondents will pay to the appellants a sum of Rs.3,00,000/- along with interest at 9% per annum simple from 18.7.2005 till payment on or before 31.4.2019, in four equal instalments with 1/4th of the amount payable in each of the months of January to April, 2019. Counsel for the appellants will give to counsel for the respondents within a week from today details of the bank account where the amount in terms of today's order has to be deposited. It is, however, made clear that in case the amount is not paid to the appellants on or before 31.4.2019 then the rate of interest will become 14% per annum simple from 18.7.2005.
