Matter is taken up today as 25.11.2025 has been declared as a holiday on account of 350th Anniversary of Guru Teg Bahadur's Martyrdom Day. 2.

This writ petition is filed on behalf of the Petitioner under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for correction of Petitioner's institution name as 'Shri Shyam Shikshak Prashikshan Sansthan' in the records of the Respondents.

Mr. Mohinder J.S. Rupal, learned counsel accepts notice on behalf of the Respondents and submits that time be granted to take a decision on the request of the Petitioner for change of name. Without entering into the merits of the case, this writ petition is disposed of directing the Respondents to consider the case of the Petitioner for correction of name. As stated in the petition, the application of the Petitioner for Transition to ITEP Course, with the correct name, is still pending and even the representations made thereafter have not been decided till date. Decision will be taken within a period of one week from today and a speaking order will be passed, which shall be communicated to the Petitioner within two days of the decision and Petitioner will be at liberty to take recourse to legal remedies in case of any surviving or further grievance.

It is further directed that for a period of two weeks from the date the decision is communicated to the Petitioner, no adverse order will be passed by the Respondents on the transition application. In the event, a favourable decision is taken by the Respondents, they shall proceed to consider the application for transition, in accordance with law.
