This is an application filed under Section 29A (4) and (5) of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 ("1996 Act") seeking extension of the mandate of the Arbitrator by a further period of 9 months for making and publishing the final Award.

Ms. Brar, learned counsel for the petitioner, states that the substantial period of Arbitrator's tenure was consumed in the adjudication of the application filed under Section 16 of the 1996 Act filed by the respondent Nos. 2 and 3. Hence, the delay.

On the last date of hearing, learned counsel for the respondents sought and was granted time to file the reply. However, No reply has been filed.

I am satisfied that a sufficient cause has been shown. 5.
