The present petition under Section 29A(5) & (5) of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 has been filed by the Petitioner for extending the mandate of the Arbitral Tribunal.

Material on record indicates that an Arbitral Tribunal comprising of Justice Vinod Goel, Former Judge High Court of Delhi (Presiding Arbitrator), Shri Ravi Mathur, Retired IAS, Co-Arbitrator, Justice Jayant Nath, Former Judge, High Court of Delhi, Co-Arbitrator was constituted on 12.01.2023 for the adjudication of disputes between the parties. mandate of the Arbitral Tribunal has been extended from time to time and last such extension was granted by this Court vide Order dated 11.02.2025 in O.M.P. (MISC.) (COMM.) 33/2025 till 31.12.2025. The present petition has been filed for extending the mandate of the Arbitral Tribunal. 3.

It is stated that award has been reserved and the mandate be extended for six months.

In view of the facts of the present case, this Court is inclined to extend the mandate of the Arbitral Tribunal till 31.05.2026, so that the award can be pronounced.

The petition is disposed of, along with the pending applications, if any.
