% 12.03.2020 I.A. 4794/19(Application on behalf of the defendant for transfer of the captioned suit to the concerned District Court) 1.

This is an application by the defendant seeking transfer of the suit to the District Court, in view of the enhancement of the pecuniary jurisdiction of the District Court.

The suit is valued at ₹1,18,41,095.89/-. The jurisdiction in respect of commercial suits of this value has also been vested in the District Court, by virtue of the amendment of the Commercial Courts Act, 2015. 3.

In these circumstances, Ms.Kajal Chandra, learned counsel for the plaintiff, agrees that the suit is liable to be transferred to the appropriate District Court.

I am informed the jurisdictional Court in respect of this suit will be that of the learned District Judge (South East), Saket Courts, New Delhi.

Consequently, the application is allowed. The suit and all pending applications are transferred to the Court of the learned District Judge (South East), Saket Courts New Delhi. The learned District Judge may assign the matter to an appropriate Court.

The application is disposed of.

CS(COMM) 220/2016 and I.A. 4790/2019, I.A. 4792/2019 In view of the order passed above, the suit and all pending applications are transferred to the Court of the learned District Judge (South East), Saket Courts, New Delhi. The parties are directed to appear before the learned District Judge on 20.04.2020. The Registry will transmit the record of the suit to the concerned Court before that date.
