By the present petition, the petitioner seeks extension of parole, for a period of two months, on the ground of the medical condition of her 77 year old mother who is suffering from various ailments such as heart issues, paralysis and high bp. 2.

Certain documents and medical reports of the mother of the petitioner have been annexed indicating the medical condition of the petitioner's mother.

Admittedly, the petitioner was released on parole for a period of three weeks by Order No. F. 18/22/2015/H(G)/Prisons/ 3341-44 dated 03.11.2025. The said period is to expire tomorrow, that is, on 28.11.2025.

in order to seek release on the next spell of parole, the convict is required to surrender on the due date and the next application can only be considered after expiry of four weeks post surrender. 5.

This Court, while exercising powers under Section 226 of the Constitution of India, is not permitted to amend or re-write the rules only for granting relief to the convicts. 6.

Hence, in such circumstances, the petitioner would be entitled for her release on the next spell of parole only after four weeks of her surrender.

However, considering the petitioner's requirements and the medical condition of her mother, as stated, the respondent authorities are directed to consider the present petition as an application for petitioner's release on the next spell of parole and the same be decided positively within a period of four weeks of her surrender, in terms of the Delhi Prisons Rules, 2018. 8.

The present petition is disposed of in the aforesaid terms. Pending application also stands disposed of.
