This is the petition filed under Section 528 of BNSS, 2023 seeking quashing of the FIR No. 132/2020 registered at PS Mehrauli under Sections 307 /498A/120B of IPC.

During the pendency of the proceedings, the parties have arrived at a settlement before the Mediation Cell, Saket Court, Delhi, wherein a sum of Rs. 10 lakhs was to be paid by the petitioner to the respondent no.2 and a property was to be transferred in her favour. I am informed that the same has been done.

The respondent nos.2 and 3 are also present in Court and have been identified by Mr. Hasibuddin, learned counsel. 5.

The parties have arrived at a settlement out of their own free will and without any undue influence, threat, pressure or coercion. 6.

There are no claims pending between the parties. 7.

There are two children born out of the wedlock. One child is in the care and custody of the petitioner and another child is with the respondent no.2.

In terms of the judgement of 'Ganesh vs. Sudhir Kumar Srivastava' [(2020) 20 SCC 787], this order and the settlement arrived at between the parties will have no effect on the minor children towards claiming rights of inheritance, maintenance, education etc. 9.

In view of the aforesaid terms, the FIR No. 132/2020 registered at PS Mehrauli under Sections 307/498A/120B of IPC and all consequential proceedings arising therefrom are hereby quashed.
