This order is in continuation of the order dated 24.11.2016, on which date, counsel for the respondent/RBI had handed over a copy of the Circular dated 29.9.2016, issued by the RBI with regard to publishing of photographs of wilful defaulters and stated that an advisory has been issued WP(C) 2462/2016 and WP(C)3122/2016 Page 1 of 2

to the lending institutions not to publish photographs of defaulting borrowers except of those, who have been declared as a wilful defaulters in terms of para 2 of the said Circular. While taking on record the said Circular, counsels for the petitioners were permitted to obtain instructions from their clients if anything further survives for consideration in the present petitions.

Today, counsels for the petitioners states that in view of the clarification issued by the RBI, vide Circular dated 29.9.2016, nothing further survives in the present petitions.

The writ petitions are disposed of, along with the pending applications.

Needless to state that in the event any coercive steps are taken by the respondents against the petitioners, the parties shall be at liberty to seek their remedies against each other before the appropriate forum, in accordance with law.
