O R D E R
% 11.04.2018 Respondent no. 2, Ms.Seema is present in Court along with her counsel and has been identified by SI Vishwanath of police station Sadar Bazar.
She accepts notice and states that she has settled the matter with petitioner voluntarily and without any undue force, pressure or coercion. She had settled the matter before the Principal Judge, Tis Hazari Courts, Delhi on 20th May, 2014. She further says that she has received the settled amount of `1,75,000/- and has no objection in case FIR No. 84/2011 under Sections 498-A/406/34 of IPC registered at PS Sadar Bazar and consequent proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed.
Affidavit of respondent no. 2 is also on record at pages13-14.
Keeping in mind the facts and circumstances of this case, as detailed above, I am of the view that no fruitful purpose would be served in keeping the criminal proceedings pending. Accordingly, FIR No. 84/2011 registered at PS Sadar Bazar under Sections 498-A/406/34 of IPC and the consequent proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed.
Petition is disposed of in the above terms. Dasti. A.K. PATHAK, J.
