This is an application filed under Section 29A (4) and (5) of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 ("1996 Act") seeking extension of the mandate of the Arbitrator by a further period of 6 months for making and publishing the final Award.

Mr. Sharma, learned counsel for the petitioner, states that the respondent consumed 14 months in filing the Statement of Defence and application under Section 19 of the 1996 Act was filed for impleading third party as parties to the petition, hence, the delay. 3.

On the last date of hearing, time was granted to the respondent for filing of the reply. No reply has been filed, till date. 4.

Ms. Kasera, learned counsel for the respondent seeks further time to file the reply. However, I am not inclined.

I am of the view that sufficient cause has been shown. 6.
