This is a petition filed under Section 29A (4) & (5) of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 seeking extension of the mandate of the Sole Arbitrator by a period of 12 months to make and publish the Award. 2.
It is stated by the learned counsel for the petitioner that the crossexamination of the witnesses is going on and hence the delay. 3.
For the said reasons, issue notice.

Mr. Mehta, learned counsel accepts notice on behalf of the respondent and has no objection to the petition being allowed. 5.
I am of the view that sufficient cause has been explained for the delay. 6.
For the said reasons, the petition is allowed and the mandate of the Sole Arbitrator is extended by a period of 12 months from today. 7.
The period from 21.11.2025 till today stands regularised. 8.
