This writ petition is filed on behalf of the Petitioner under Articles 226 and 227 of the Constitution of India seeking the following reliefs:- "a) Issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of Mandamus, or any other appropriate writ, directing Respondent No. 2 to rectify the name of the Petitioner institution in the Recognition Order dated 03.03.2018 (F.No. ER-250.6.20(Part-1)/ ERCAPP3524/ B.Ed./ 2018/ 56387), granting recognition for the B.Ed. programme, by substituting the name from "Dakshin Dinajpur B.Ed. College" to "Dakshin Dinajpur D.Ed. College," and to thereafter issue a modified Recognition Order reflecting the correct name;

b) To issue a writ, order or direction requiring Respondent No. 2 to forward and communicate the corrected/amended Recognition Order to the examining body, the affiliating University, and the State Government, in accordance with the provisions of the NCTE Act, 1993." 2.

Without entering into the merits of the case, this writ petition is disposed of with the direction to Respondents to treat this writ petition as a representation and pass a decision thereon within two weeks from today. Decision will be communicated to the Petitioner within a week thereafter. It will be open to the Petitioner to take recourse to legal remedies in the event of any surviving grievance.
