After hearing arguments for some time, learned counsel for the applicant, without prejudice to his rights and contentions, does not press the bail application at this stage. He however, submits that since all the material witnesses have been already examined, learned trial court may be requested to expedite the disposal of the ongoing trial as the applicant is in custody for last around 4 years.

Learned APP for the State submits that all the material witnesses have been examined and only 2 witnesses are left and every effort would be made to wrap up the trial as expeditiously as possible. 3.

In view of the above, the present application is disposed of as not pressed.

case and to make best endeavour to dispose of the same as expeditiously as possible and, preferably, within a period of 6 months from the date it takes up the matter.

Needless to say, if trial is not concluded within said period, applicant would be at liberty to file application afresh before this Court.
