This petition has been filed by the petitioner seeking a direction to the respondent to notionally promote the petitioner to the rank of Inspector/JE (Elect) against the vacancy year 2019-20, along with all consequential benefits, including seniority.

Keeping in view the nature of the averments made in the petition, we direct the respondent to consider the contents of the present petition as a representation of the petitioner and decide the same within a period of 8 weeks from today. In case the petitioner is held entitled to the promotion as prayed for, consequential orders must be passed by the respondent during the same period.
