% 16.03.2026 1.
The present Writ Petition is filed against the order dated 13.05.2025 (hereafter 'impugned order') passed by the learned Central Administrative Tribunal ('CAT'), Principal Bench, New Delhi in O.A. No. 48/2025.
2.
The learned CAT has directed the Petitioners to pass speaking order after taking into consideration the Judgment passed by the Hon'ble Supreme Court in Mohd. Imran vs. State of Maharashtra & Ors., Civil Appeal No.10571/2018 decided on 12.10.2018 and Mahendra Singh Solanki vs. Commissioner of Police & Ors. W.P.(C) 2219/2023, decided on 10.03.2023.
3.
The Respondent was selected as a Constable (Driver) in Delhi Police. However, he was not issued appointment letter on the ground that he was involved in a criminal case arising out of FIR No.70/2015. The authenticity of the order can be re-verified from Delhi High Court Order Portal by scanning the QR code shown above. The Order is downloaded from the DHC Server on 18/03/2026 at 16:16:37
The criminal case in the aforesaid FIR was disposed of as the Court permitted the Respondent to compound the offences. 4.
Since the learned CAT has only directed the Petitioners to pass a fresh order after taking into account the Judgments passed by the Hon'ble Supreme Court, this Court does not find it appropriate to interfere in the impugned order passed by the learned CAT in exercise of writ jurisdiction.
5.
The Writ Petition is accordingly disposed of with the directions to the Petitioners to pass a speaking order within a period of four weeks from today.
