Although the respondents are stated to have been placed on advance notice, none has appeared on their behalf when the matter was called.

We have consequently requested Mr. Singh, learned counsel to accept notice. Let a copy of the writ petition be provided to Mr. Singh.

a purported failure on the part of the respondents to attend to and dispose of an application seeking voluntary cancellation of its Goods and Services Tax registration. The said application is stated to have been made on 28 October 2024 and remains pending. 4.

Mr. Singh, learned counsel appearing for the respondents states that subject to due verification of all facts and contention on merits being kept open the said application shall be duly examined and disposed of in accordance with law and preferably within a period of four weeks from today. The statement so made is recorded and accepted.
