Counsel for the Petitioner submits that in terms of Rule 1321 of the Delhi Prison Rules, 2018, the Petitioner has now become eligible for transfer from the regular jail to the semi-open jail. It is further submitted that although the Petitioner has been interviewed, his request in this regard has not yet been decided.

Accordingly, without delving into the merits of the case, the present petition is disposed of with a direction to the Respondent to treat the petition as a representation and take a decision on the Petitioner's request for transfer to the semi-open jail, preferably within a period of four weeks from today. 3.
