O R D E R

% 28.03.2017 The nominal roll has been received. The status report is also on record. The petitioner is seeking parole on the ground of demise of his grandmother. The nominal roll shows that the petitioner is serving a sentence of three and half years with fine in respect of his conviction under Sections 376/511 IPC in case FIR No. 40/2002 registered at police station Seelampur. The petitioner has undergone 1 year 5 months and 20 days of incarceration as on 20.03.2017. His jail conduct is found to be satisfactory. He was earlier released on parole by this Court between 11.11.2016 and 02.12.2016. The factum of the petitioner's grandmother having expired has also been verified. His address has also been verified.

In these circumstances, the petition is allowed and the petitioner is directed to be released on parole for a period of two weeks upon his furnishing personal bond in the sum of Rs. 10,000/- with one surety in the like amount to the satisfaction of Jail Superintendent. This is also subject to the conditions that;

i) he shall provide his mobile phone number to the Jail Superintendent at the time of his release, which shall be kept in working condition at all times. The same shall not be changed without prior intimation to the Jail Superintendent;

ii) he shall report at the local police station to mark his attendance on every Monday at 11:00 a.m. during the period of parole; iii) he shall duly surrender at the end of the period of parole; and iv) he shall also not indulge in any criminal activity while on parole. The petition stands disposed of.
