CONT.CAS(C) 488/2017 and CM No. 24408/2017 (delay) Petitioner has filed the instant contempt petition accompanied with an application seeking condonation of delay in filing the contempt petition.

According to the petitioner, respondents have wilfully disobeyed the order/direction given by the Division bench of this Court on 19.1.2005, which reads as under : "Learned Counsel appearing for the petitioner states that the constructive property of the petitioner was acquired but he has

not received any compensation till date.

It is further stated that under the policy of the Government, the petitioner would be entitled to an alternative plot.

The petition is disposed of with the above directions." During the course of hearing, as for the representation to be made by the petitioner within one week, ld. counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that the representation in writing was made on 1.3.2016. It only reflects total delays and latches on the part of the petitioner, which by no stretch of imagination, can be attributed to the respondents. Instant petition itself has come to be filed after almost twelve years.

No reason to entertain the petition in the given circumstances.

Both the contempt petition and the miscellaneous application are dismissed.
