% 09.04.2018 Respondent no. 2 Ms. Mahendri Devi (complainant) is mother-in-law of petitioner. Ms. Pushpa, wife of petitioner and daughter of respondent no. 2 is also present in Court. FIR No. 365/2013 under Sections 498-A/323 IPC was registered at Police Station Badarpur on the complaint of respondent no.

2. After the investigation, charge-sheet was filed under Sections 498-A/325 IPC.

It is submitted that petitioner and Ms. Pushpa have settled their disputes before the Mediation Centre, Saket Courts, New Delhi on 23rd November, 2017.

They are living together since the date of settlement.

Respondent no. 2 as well as Ms. Pushpa are present in Court and have been identified by ASI Tuli Ram of police station Badarpur. They submit that they have no objection in case FIR is quashed, in view of the settlement. Keeping in view the fact that husband and wife have started living together after resolving their differences, in my view, no fruitful purpose would be served in keeping the criminal proceedings pending. Accordingly, in the interest of justice, FIR No. 365/2013 under Sections 498-A/325 IPC registered at Police Station Badarpur and consequent proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed.
