Ms. Kamna Vohra, learned Additional Standing Counsel (Crl.) appearing on advance notice, on instructions from the Investigating Officer in the subject FIR, namely, Insp. Ajay Kumar, Police Station Jahangirpuri, states that in view of the circumstances that the petitioners are a newly-wed couple who are apprehending threat to their life and liberty at the hands of the immediate family of petitioner No. 1, the State shall offer adequate protection to them. The Beat Constable of the concerned area shall be sensitized in this behalf. The telephone numbers of the SHO of the concerned police station as well as the beat constable shall be provided to the petitioners in order to enable them to contact the police in the event of any threat or apprehension. 2.

Directed accordingly.

In view of the direction that is being issued in the present petition, I do not think it necessary to issue notice to respondent Nos. 4 to 16, family members of petitioner No.1 herein.

With the above directions, the writ petition is allowed and disposed of accordingly.
