The writ petitioner challenges the disbandment of the Vehicle Depot Workshop at Delhi Cantonment on the ground that it is critical for the functioning of the Central Vehicle Depot. In support of the challenge, the petitioner relies on the observations dated 7th September, 2016 (page 15 of the paper book) of the Directorate General of Ordnance Services.

Appearing for the respondents, Ms.

Suparna Srivastava points out that the petitioner has enclosed a communication dated 19th September, 2016 (at page 12 of the paper book) of Col. Sunil Talwar, Director OS(O&T) addressed to the CVD Delhi Cantt which suggests that a firm W.P.(C) 2273/2017

view regarding disbandment of the Vehicle Depot Workshop will be accorded the approval of the GOL, which has not been taken so far.

In view thereof, this writ petition does not need to detain us any longer.

The writ petition is, accordingly disposed of with a direction to the respondents to treat the petition as a representation who shall consider the same while taking a decision regarding disbandment of Vehicle Depot Workshops.

This writ petition and the application are disposed of in the above terms.
