This writ petition is filed on behalf of the Petitioners under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking the following reliefs:- "A. Issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of Mandamus, thereby directing Respondent No.1-Punjab National Bank to forthwith permit the Petitioners, being the validly nominated beneficiaries, to operate and access Savings Bank Account No. 07632051000185 and Safe Deposit Locker No. 12 standing in the name of Late Sh. Jagan Nath Jangra, without insisting upon any Succession Certificate, Surviving Member Certificate, Legal Heirship Certificate, Probate or Letter of Administration, in terms of the RBI Master Circular on Customer Service (2015) and the RBI Safe Deposit Locker Circular dated 18.08.2021, quash and set aside the email dated 06.05.2025;

B. Direct Respondent No. 1 to immediately open Safe Deposit Locker No. 12 in the presence of the Petitioners, prepare an inventory of its contents, and hand over the same to the Petitioners in accordance with Section 45ZE of the Banking Regulation Act and applicable RBI guidelines; AND/OR C. Pass such further order/orders as this Hon'ble Court may deem fit and proper under the facts and circumstances of the case." 2.

considering that the account of the Petitioners is in the Amritsar Branch of PNB and no cause of action has arisen at Delhi. 3.

Learned counsel for the Petitioners, on instructions, seeks to withdraw this writ petition to take recourse to appropriate remedies before the competent Court.

Accordingly, writ petition is disposed of along with pending application, with liberty as prayed for, making it clear that this Court has not expressed any opinion on the merits of this case.
