This is a petition filed under Section 29-A of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 seeking extension of mandate of the Arbitral Tribunal till 30.05.2025.

Learned counsel for the Petitioner states that the award is to be pronounced and is pending for want of extension of mandate of the Arbitral Tribunal.

Learned counsel for the Petitioner states that in this matter, parties have agreed that there is no requirement of leading oral evidence and parties will be filing the evidence affidavit for proving the documents filed in support of the claims and pleas.

5.1 He states that in these circumstances, the parties are seeking an extension of the mandate of the arbitral tribunal until 31.05.2025. 6.

Issue notice. Ms. Sanya Sharma, learned counsel accepts notice on behalf of the Respondent.

She states that she has no objection to the present petition being allowed.

In view of the joint request of the parties, the petition is allowed and the mandate of the arbitral tribunal is extended till 30.05.2025 and at the request of the parties the mandate of the arbitral tribunal stands regularized from 18.06.2024.

The petition is accordingly disposed of.

Miscellaneous directions 10.

Ms. Urvi Mohan, Advocate enters appearance on behalf of Respondent no. 2/GNCTD, ADM North. She states that she has been served with an advance copy of the paper-book wherein ADM North has been arrayed as Respondent No. 2.

In response, Mr. Dhananjay Mehlawat, Advocate, learned counsel for the Petitioner states that while refiling the petition, the ADM North has been deleted from the array of parties.

The said submission is taken on record 13.

It is hereby clarified that for a petition filed under Section 29A (4) of the Act of 1996, in future the Petitioner will not implead ADM, North as the party.
