The present petition under Section 29A(5) of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996, read with Section 151 of the Code of Civil Procedure, 1908, has been filed on behalf of the petitioners, seeking the following prayer:

"(i) Allow the present petition and extend the period in the Arbitration Proceedings presided by the Justice B.P. Singh (Retd.) Presiding Arbitrator, Justice Dipak Misra (Retd.) Arbitrator and Justice A.K. Sikri (Retd.) Arbitrator between Sumant Kumar Sood & Ors. Versus Satish Kumar Sood & Ors. by further period of 6 months."

Issue notice. The learned counsel appearing for the respondents accepts notice and states that he has no objection if the present petition is allowed 5.

This Court has also heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioners and perused the material placed on record. 6.

In view of the submissions made on behalf of the petitioner and no objection given by the learned counsel for the respondent, the mandate of the Arbitral Tribunal and the time period for conducting arbitration proceedings is extended by a period of three months, with effect from 12.12.2024.

The present petition is disposed of in the aforesaid terms. 8.
