By the present petition, the petitioner seeks following prayers :

a) Issue an appropriate Writ in the nature of "Mandamus" directing the Respondent to decide the application for 2nd spell of furlough within a reasonable time or in alternative direct the Respondent to release the Petitioner on 2nd spell of furlough for the period of 14 days and or;

b) Pass any other or such other further orders as this Hon'ble court may deem fit, just and proper in the facts and circumstances of the case and in the interest of justice.

The petitioner seeks furlough in FIR No. 130/2014, registered at Police Station Govind Nagar, Mathura, U.P., for offence under Section 326A of the Indian Penal Code, 1860. It is the case of the petitioner that the application seeking furlough was filed way back on 18.08.2025, however, no order has been passed till date.

The learned Additional Standing Counsel for the State, who appears on advance service, on instructions, states that the application had perhaps been given to a wrong Department and was received by the Authorities only on 11.11.2025. 5.

In view of the above, no orders are required to be passed at this stage. The present petition, along with the pending application, is disposed of with direction to the Respondent Authorities to decide the petitioner's application seeking furlough within a period of two weeks.
