This is a writ petition seeking quashing of FIR No. 0662/2023 dated 26.08.2023 under Sections 498-A/406/34 IPC registered at Police Station - Patel Nagar, Delhi and consequential proceedings, if any, emanating therefrom.

Petitioners are present in Court and have been identified by their counsel, Mr M.K. Saroja.

Respondent No. 2 is also present in Court and has been identified by the Investigating Officer SI Ali Akram, PS-Patel Nagar. 6.

21.03.2024. It is further stated that all the articles as mentioned in the MoU have already been returned by the petitioners to respondent No.2. 7.

Both the parties state that they have entered into the aforesaid settlement out of their own free will, volition and without any threat, force, undue influence or coercion. It is stated by respondent No.2 that she has no objection if the FIR is quashed. There is no child born out of the wedlock. 8.

In this view of the matter, FIR No. 0662/2023 dated 26.08.2023 under Sections 498-A/406/34 IPC registered at Police Station - Patel Nagar, Delhi and consequential proceedings, if any, emanating therefrom are hereby quashed subject to payment of Rs. 50,000/- by the petitioners to respondent No.2 within a period of 8 weeks from today.

The proof of payment of cost shall be filed in the Registry within 10 weeks and in case the same is not furnished, this file be put up before the Court.

The petition is disposed of accordingly.
