By way of this writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, petitioner has made the following prayers:- (i) To issue direction to the respondents to declare that detention of petitioner by police officers, respondent Nos. 2 to 6 from 7:00 hours of 31st December, 2015 to 14:00 hours of 1.1.2016 and further detention till 8th January, 2016 was illegal in jail;

(ii) To give direction to respondent No.1 to hold departmental inquiry against respondent Nos. 2 to 6 and other police officials for their act of W.P.(CRL) 912/2016

illegal detention and threatening and falsely implicating the relatives of the prosecutrix in false case in order to pressurize her to change her statement in rape case in FIR No.1469/2015 under Sections 376/34 IPC at PS Aman Vihar;

(iii) To give direction for grant of compensation of ` 10 lakhs in respect of his illegal detention.

Today learned counsel for the petitioner seeks permission to withdraw this petition.

The writ petition is dismissed as withdrawn.
