Learned Senior Counsel appearing for the review petitioner, i.e., Election Commission of India ("ECI"), submits that as per the scheme of the Representation of the People Act, 1951 ("RP Act"), and specifically as per Section 29A, which deals with the registration of political parties, the application of any political party seeking to register itself must contain the details of the party's particulars, including, the names of the President, Secretary, Treasurers and other office bearers. 4.
Learned Senior Counsel appearing for the ECI submits that at the time when the political party in question, i.e., M/s Pattali Makkal Katchi, had given its application to the ECI for the purpose of registration, certain names had been given, which are on the record of ECI. Subsequently, further documents were submitted before the ECI, with regard to the change of the President.

He submits that in view of the statutory provisions of the RP Act, the ECI will act in accordance with the information and documents, which are on the record of the ECI, before the internal disputes amongst the various members of the political party, arose.

The aforesaid statement is taken note of.

Per contra, learned Senior Counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that the present review is not maintainable, as no error apparent on the record has been pointed out by the review petitioner. He further submits that the submissions made before this Court are an afterthought. 8.
It is clarified that this Court has not expressed any opinion on the case advanced before it. This Court has only recorded the statements made by the respective parties, with regard to the position of law. 9.
