Through the present Writ Petition, under Article 226 and 227 of the Constitution of India, the Petitioners seek a direction to the learned Chairperson, Debts Recovery Appellate Tribunal ["DRAT"], Calcutta, who is holding additional charge of learned DRAT, Delhi, to hear and decide the pending appeal bearing No. 137/2025. 2.
The learned Chairperson, DRAT, Delhi, has demitted office; however, his successor/substitute has not yet been appointed. Consequently, additional charge has been assigned to the learned Chairperson, DRAT, Calcutta, to hear appeals filed before the learned DRAT, Delhi as well as Calcutta.

disposal of the Appeal within a time-bound manner. However, the Petitioners, if so advised, may file an application for this purpose before the learned Chairperson, DRAT, Calcutta, which shall be considered sympathetically by the learned Tribunal. 4.
