% 26.11.2018 It is submitted that matter has been settled between the petitioner and respondent no.2 amicably, therefore, FIR and consequent proceedings may be quashed against the petitioner. Respondent no.2 is present in court along with his counsel. He says that he has settled the matter with petitioner of his own and without any undue force, pressure or coercion and has no objection in case FIR No. 199/2011 under Section 63 of the Copy Right Act, 1957 registered at police station Roop Nagar is quashed. Affidavit of respondent no.2 is also on record to this effect.
Photocopy of the undertaking dated 07.07.2017 given by the petitioner to respondent no.2 has been placed on record. The petitioner is aged about 79 years and is suffering from various ailments. Respondent no.2 has stated in his affidavit that he has settled the matter with the petitioner considering her age and ailments.
Keeping in mind the aforesaid facts, in my view, no fruitful purpose would be served in keeping the criminal proceedings pending. Accordingly, aforesaid FIR and the consequent proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed against the petitioner, in view of the settlement. Petition is disposed of in the above terms. Dasti. A.K.
