O R D E R

1.

The present writ petition has been filed seeking directions to the respondent to ensure that no penalty is levied against the petitioners, which are not prescribed in the Scheme of the respondent, relating to allotment of Telephone Booths to handicapped persons.

There is further prayer for directions to the respondent to allow the petitioners to pay their License Fee from 2020 till date, at the prescribed rate of ₹ 1800/- per annum.

He, however, submits that since the petitioners are differently-abled persons, penalty may not be imposed upon them, and they may be permitted to deposit the license fee, as and when the same becomes due. 4.

Today, learned counsel for respondent/Municipal Corporation of Delhi ("MCD") has handed over copy of the letter dated 24th January, 2025, as per which the penalty for late payment imposed upon the petitioners, has been waived off qua the petitioners.

He further submits that pursuant to the waiver of the late fee penalty, The authenticity of the order can be re-verified from Delhi High Court Order Portal by scanning the QR code shown above.

the petitioners have already deposited the requisite amount towards license fee, i.e., @ 1810/- on 08th January, 2025, till 31st March, 2026.

He, thus, submits that the prayers in the present petition, stand satisfied.

Learned counsel for the petitioners confirms the fact that requisite amount towards license fee has already been paid by the petitioners. 8.

Having heard learned counsels for the parties, this Court notes the submissions of learned counsel for MCD that late fee surcharge levied upon the petitioners already stands waived of vide order dated 24th January, 2025, which is taken on record, and is reproduced as under: The authenticity of the order can be re-verified from Delhi High Court Order Portal by scanning the QR code shown above.

This Court further notes that pursuant to the aforesaid, the petitioners have deposited the requisite license fee on 08th January, 2025, which stands paid till 31st March, 2026.

Accordingly, it is directed that the petitioners shall continue to pay the license fee, as per the rate applicable to them, in accordance with law, as and when the same becomes due.

Noting the aforesaid, the present writ petition is accordingly, disposed of.
