By way of the present petition, the petitioners seek quashing of the FIR bearing No. 0240/2023, registered at Police Station Vasant Kunj South, Delhi, for the commission of offences punishable under Sections 323/448/34 of the Indian Penal Code, 1860 (hereafter 'IPC') and all consequential proceedings arising therefrom on the basis of settlement arrived at between The authenticity of the order can be re-verified from Delhi High Court Order Portal by scanning the QR code shown above.

All the petitioners and respondent nos. 2 to 5 are present before this Court and have been identified by their counsel and Investigating Officer (IO) concerned, Police Station, Vasant Kunj South, Delhi. 6.
Brief facts of the case are that on 27.02.2023, due to civil dispute between the petitioners and respondent nos. 2 to 5 on some immovable property, various differences and issues had arisen between the petitioners and the respondent no. 2. Upon a complaint filed by respondent nos. 2 to 5, the present FIR came to be registered against the petitioners. It is stated a cross-FIR bearing no. 0137/2023 had also been registered in the present case. It is further stated that with intervention of the family and friends, the parties have now amicably settled their dispute vide Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) dated 29.10.2025.

On a query made by this Court, respondent nos. 2 to 5 who have been identified by the IO, have categorically stated that they have entered into compromise out of their own free will and without any pressure, coercion or threat. Therefore, they have no objection if the present FIR is quashed. 8.
In view of the above fact, that the parties have amicably resolved their differences out of their own free will, and without any coercion, no useful purpose will be served by continuing the proceedings, rather the same would create further acrimony between them. It would thus be in interest of justice to quash the abovementioned FIR and the proceedings pursuant thereto. There is no legal impediment in quashing the FIR in question. 9.
Accordingly, FIR bearing No. 0240/2023, registered at Police Station Vasant Kunj South, Delhi, for the commission of offences punishable under The authenticity of the order can be re-verified from Delhi High Court Order Portal by scanning the QR code shown above.
Sections 323/448/34 of IPC and all consequential proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed subject to the petitioners depositing a sum of Rs. 10,000/- with the Delhi High Court Bar Clerk's Association and the compliance report of the same be filed with the Registry of this Court within a period of two weeks from date.
